At WJS Home, we wanted to create a sofa that could handle the way families actually live — soft enough to sink into, practical enough to clean, and flexible enough to move with you through every change a home goes through.
Our name stands for Where Joy Settles. And joy, we've noticed, usually settles in ordinary places.

We started with the way families actually use a sofa
When people shop for a sofa, they often start with style, size, or color. Those things matter. But we think the more useful question is: what does this sofa need to survive?
Snacks, spills, pet hair, guests, kids climbing across the cushions, someone stretching out across the chaise before anyone else gets the chance — and beyond the daily chaos, it needs to do more than one job. Gathering spot. Quiet corner. Guest accommodation. Movie room. Weekend recovery zone.
So instead of designing around an idealized living room, we designed around real household behavior. That thinking led to three things we believe every family sofa needs: cloud-soft comfort that lasts, washable covers, and modular flexibility.
Cloud-soft comfort that's still supportive
Softness is easy to promise and hard to get right. A sofa can feel plush in a showroom and flat after a few weeks. It can be inviting for ten minutes and wrong during a full movie night.
We wanted ours to feel like a place worth returning to — that deep, sink-in feeling that makes the living room instantly warmer. Our cushions are built with a high-resilience memory foam core wrapped in a down-blend fill, so they give without losing their shape. The kind of soft that still holds you after three hours.
Families don't use sofas carefully. They lean sideways, curl up, stretch out, nap with their shoes on. A sofa that can't welcome all of that isn't really a family sofa.
Washable covers aren't a bonus feature — they change everything
Without washable covers, a coffee spill becomes a problem. Pet fur becomes a daily frustration. A light-colored sofa starts to feel like a liability.
We didn't want families to feel like they had to protect their sofa from their own life. So removable, machine-washable covers became a design requirement, not an afterthought. When something spills, the answer is simple: unzip the cover, run it through a cold wash, put it back. No panic, no professional cleaning, no permanent reminder of Tuesday's accident.
